Our bedroom!

Although we don't have a lot of furniture, we finally have our bed put together!  We are using the linens that we got for our wedding for the first time and loving it! We also put together the sleep number bed and are having fun finding our perfect number. We love having a real bed instead of the blow up mattress. We have also almost filled the master closet (with mostly my clothes) and I almost have the kitchen perfect!  Pictures to come on Tuesday! Goodnight for now!

A brief update

Good evening!
I am very sorry for the delay in posts! We will not get internet here until Tuesday so everything must be done through my phone! However, I would like to update everyone on pur adventure!

1) we are officially at our new house and it is amazing! We will have your furniture moved in tomorrow and I am so beyond excited to actually open and use our wedding gifts! We have been furniture shopping a lot lately and it had been fun looking at the possibilities. We are going to wait and save up some money before we make any big purchases but we did buy a new washer and dryer! That was definitely a necessity because we would quickly run out of clean laundry otherwise! I will post pictures of the new place once we get internet!

2) we are adjusting to life here on base and in the now chilly climate. Everyone in town says that they are sorry we had to move here during the cold winter but really, these people do not know cold! Shout out to all my Minnesota people who know what cold really feels like! Its actually not terrible here. Usually in the 30s and 40s and the sun feels great! Base living is wonderful but took some getting used to. Anthony and I have decided it is like living in the greatest gated community ever! However, I know have to keep track of m keys and my ID otherwise I will not get home! Which posed a problem. About 3 hours after getting our house, I locked myself out and had to wait at the neighbors for Anthony to come home. One awesome thing is that we are friends with a lot of pur neighbors already so it makes the transition a lot easier. I am still missing my family and friends in Minnesota but the move is a lot easier with friends around. Which brings me to....

3) Our first official meeting of our book club is in a few weeks! As you can see in the previous post, tonight we decorated sweatshirts with puffy paint and had a ton of fun! We are going to be reading American Sniper for our first book and we will meet to discuss in 2 weeks. The social chair of the book club and I went on a crafting spree tonight and began to decorate group sweaters! I am very happy to be involved in things here and I am looking forward to the adventures ahead!

Well, the movers will be here at 9am tomorrow and that means this is our last night on an air mattress! Horay! Tomorrow I get back my kitchen! Which cannot come soon enough because tonight while Anthony was at poker night with the boys, my dinner was goldfish and m&ms left over from the trip. One step closer to a real house! Thank you for your patience! When we officially have internet, this will be updated more with more pictures! Goodnight all!

A new book club!

On the road!

Hello everyone! We are currently in Salt Lake City and relaxing a little after a long day! Vegas was exciting to see but it was the most stressful driving I have ever encountered. I can't believe we are still alive! After leaving the nasty Nevada deserts, we were extremely happy to see some green and yes, we  saw our first snow today. It was a little depressing to think that just yesterday we were by a beach! A full story of our adventures to come but below are some sights we have enjoyed so far! Another long day on the road tomorrow. Right now a lovely tempur pedic bed is calling my name so goodnight and more stories to come!

Last week in California!

Hello everyone and happy Super Monday!
This week has had lots of exciting news for us but the most exciting is that we officially have a house waiting for us in Montana! It is a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house with 2,300 square feet. I have no idea what we are going to do with all that space, especially because we definitely do not have that much stuff to fill the rooms! I am excited though because this means that I get to go shopping! This also means we need lots of visitors! We have two extra bedrooms and a couple blow up beds so come out and visit. I have heard wonderful things about how beautiful it is out there so.... hint hint family members..... we want to see you!

Also, if you would like our mailing address, text, call or email me with your address and I will get you ours.

This weekend was super full of excitement. On Saturday I got to see a little more of California when we headed up to Santa Maria. This town was a wonderful oasis for me because I got to experience two of my favorite things in life: Target and Olive Garden! I know, I know, we are in California and we should be experiencing local food but I missed Olive Garden! It was delicious, of course, however, the ones in Minnesota definitely give you a larger sample glass of wine! Just saying.... Target was also amazing and a sight for sore eyes because all we have here is Wal-Mart and I refuse to shop there. We also went to the mall in Santa Maria and oh my goodness! I have never seen so many children in a mall before. Each mom/parent had like 4 kids with them and at least one stroller! Wow! Well we got what we went there for: new running shoes for me! Now, I am not a huge runner but I will run the Zombie 5k again and we will survive this time! (cough, cough CLAIRE) So, I figured running shoes where the first step toward that goal. Also, I am on day 7 of Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 days (which is killing me!) and I need shoes for that! The drive home was absolutely beautiful although a little overcast. Everything was very green with lovely rolling hills.

Yesterday was the Superbowl and we went over to a friends house for a Superbowl party. We had a ton of fun and I was really happy to be able to meet the people we are going to Montana with! I made Franks buffalo chicken dip (delicious!) and brought my beloved Target wine in the cube. I am definitely looking forward to Montana now and excited to make new friends!

This week is going to be very busy with running errands and trying to get things done. All of our stuff gets packed up and shipped on Thursday and we are planning our route up north. Right now it looks like we will be stopping in Vegas, Salt Lake City, Helena and then heading to Great Falls! I am really looking forward to seeing so much of the country while driving!

Well, sorry for the long post but I hope that catches everyone up on our life! The laundry machine is calling me so I shall go finish my chores! More to come later! (hopefully more pictures too!)

Favor to ask!: I am going to be completely building my pantry from scratch up in Montana and I need suggestions! Please let me know what spices you use all the time or what is absolutely necessary to have for cooking so I don't end up buying a pound of turmeric and never using it!
